    2024 CISC Biking to Moraine Lake

    Let's kick off the warm season by biking along Moraine Lake Rd.

    before the road opens for vehicles!

    Date: Saturday, May 25th, 2024 (Weather Dependent)

    Time: 9:00am sharp - 3:00pm

    Location: Along Moraine Lake Rd.

    Distance: ~24.5km (out & back)

    Elevation: +/-260m accumulated

    Difficulty: Moderate with some steep sections




    We will start at the Gate on Moraine Lake Rd. at 9:00am Sharp


    Reminder: Each vehicle requires a day pass or annual discovery pass to park at National Parks.

    Required Gear: Any kind of bikes including E-bike

    Helmets are mandatory, no exceptions

    Pickleball combines elements of tennis, badminton, and table tennis.

    It is characterized by the low nets, wooden paddles, and quick-paced nature.

    Pickleball is a great workout and requires considerable athleticism as players must have the endurance and agility to move efficiently, but also have the finesse to perform spinning shots.

    All ages and levels are welcome to come enjoy this beautiful sport!

    This event is open for all levels of players.

    Please bring your own Water, Pickleball paddle, Snacks, Optional Goggle, Suitable clothing.

                Let's put the Indonesian communities on Calgary's map

    Canadian Indonesian Social Club 

    is inviting members and Indonesian Communities to participate in the Stampede Prelude on

    Date: Friday, July 5

    Time: 6 am to 9 am

    Location: Downtown, TBA

    Prelude is on street entertainment for stampede parade audiences as they wait for the CS Parade.

    The Stampede Prelude Committee does not allow children to join the prelude unless they are performers

    INFORMATION YOU NEED TO KNOW

    The CISC dancing group is going to perform dances on assigned streets.

    If you are interested in joining the fun Tari Piring and 

    Ayo Goyang Dumang Line Dancing,

    Please contact Shanty Fluto or Cindy Halim at cultural@cisc.org

    You MUST learn and come to practice the dance at least 5 times for the Tari Piring and 2 times for Ayo Goyang Dumang Line Dance in order to be able to perform at the Prelude.

    Participants must be able to physically perform five (5) performances. 

    Participants must be able to move to next location, one block, within a 3-minutes timeframe.

    What to wear

    It is an opportunity for us, Indonesian Communities, to make a good impression and showcase our cultures.  Please wear your Indonesian traditional clothing if you have one, if not, wear your kebaya clothing, if not, wear your batik, then if not, wear your red shirt with INDONESIA printed and white pants.
